Think we are a way off, but I like the idea.

As I see it, the biggest problem with p2p is that everyone has to have huge databases then.

For mass persistent communications app, sure. But other types of apps, say a person to person IM app or multiplayer chess game, might be more suited to it. Less data, historical data could be dropped, if needed.

@kd0bpv We already do, in our heads. These are just extensions of those.
