@aral Well, you can easily migrate that to python and use only standard library functions if you want to. It's quite a readable perl code.

We got it working on a cheap VPS and works perfectly. Single binary (of around 50mb), works by default with SQLite and, for backups, we just back up the entire folder in which we run it, including the binary. So, both installation and maintenance is really easy.

@sirikon @aral Nice. I had been debating self-hosting GL but the requirements seemed insane for my needs. I think Gitea is probaly the way I'll go.
