@aral @ddevault If they're planning to move to NL permanently then there is also the issue of sea level rise to consider. I know they have good flood defences, but whether they will be adequate in the next few decades remains to be seen.

As a proxy the size of open source conferences could be used.

Could also be filtered down by community first ones e.g FOSDEM or the Chaos Community Congress versus paid ones or at least where a commercial vendor is first e.g I would filter out a React or RedHat conf.
