Can the Small Web be as easy (or easier) to use than the Big Web?

(Spoiler: Yes.)

In this episode, Laura and I will be talking about the design challenges of doing so as well as demonstrating Domain (previously Basil), a work-in-progress platform that enables just that.

This will also be the first time we stream Small is Beautiful using our own Owncast instance.

@aral Looking at FreeChat, I’d say: Becentralized is conceptually easier to use than centralized. And the user experience is getting better: github.com/DennisRein/free-cha

@aral
I really enjoyed that!

Looking forward to migrating my dormant-for-10-years wordpress blog over to something like this, once it is in a state where I don't have to write actual HTML to write a blog (I used to but I've other things in my life now...)

Hoping for a 1€/month tariff for people who're not sure if/for what they'll actually use the thing...

Also having tons of random ideas which other things this could be used for. That's a good sign :)
