@aral I try hard to eliminate the term "user" from my discussions of infotech and systems.

It's not always easy or graceful, but it improves the discussion virtually always.

@dredmorbius @aral I have been damaged from working with games, so I still call them "players" 😅 (in non game contexts)

@aral Yes, that's very true and a good word to avoid entirely.
It belongs with 'consumer'. And 'human resources'.

The products I have influence over assign names to different personas - customer, partner, researcher, etc.
It helps create cleaner domain context boundaries as well.
