GDPR (acronym): a European data protection law that’s enforced in the EU by Max Schrems and noyb.

@cjk @aral It is a bit unfair to other organizations, such as @LaQuadrature which caused some of the highest sanctions approved by a DPAm such as the 746 millions euros one to Amazon (highest so far) and the 50 millions to Google.

@noybeu is doing great work, we will always be thankful for, but it is clearly not the only one (luckily!) :)

@dp @cjk @LaQuadrature @noybeu Oh, yeah, they’re awesome. The point was that it’s NOT being enforced by the people who should be enforcing it unless they’re legally forced to do so every fucking time :)

@aral you are right. And do not hesitate to remind everyhone that both @LaQuadrature and @noybeu need funding to work (and enforce GDPR then!) @cjk

@dp @LaQuadrature @noybeu @cjk I don’t believe I ever do. If anything people are likely sick of hearing me talk about how we must fund the alternatives from the commons. You can find a few videos of my telling exactly that to thr European Parliament and anyone else who’ll listen :)
