@aral This is a topic that comes up more frequently than it should have to. "Just quit" is usually the right advice, but it's advice which is incredibly hard to hear. Walking away from a paying gig means less financial security and in capitalism that's terrifying.
That said, if I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be "Just quit, it'll be okay." (Not that I ever directly bombed anyone.)
