@aral the old good American exceptionalism that the Americans love so much. Like when they need to explain Russian colonialism to Ukrainians and Eastern Europeans, or monopolising the race critical discourse only through the lens of American BIPOC, dismissing altogether how racism, imperialism, and orientalism manifest in many way in other part of the world with different histories.
All my solidarity to you, Aral. There is nothing worst that being lectured by people who claim are allies.
