86 years ago, sirens sounded in Guernica as the Nazis carpet-bombed civilians. Today, they sound again for the Palestinian people in Gaza being slaughtered by Israel.
Amazing how there’s no media coverage of this to speak of in the West although even Times of Israel covered Guernica’s 80th anniversary.

@godot@muenchen.social @LALegault Yes, a bunch of Islamist barbarians murdered roughly 1,200 Israelis including ~859 civilians and took hostages.
In the time since, Israel has gone on a genocidal rampage in Gaza, murdering more than ten times the number of Palestinians (~17,000 currently), the vast majority of which are women and children.

The current escalation IS the direct result of what happened that day.

Regardless of how they die or who kills them they are no less dead.
They want to exterminate Hamas, and if I'm correct, Hamas is 30k members. Given that they killed 17k people and 3k Hamas members, I believe they will need to kill 170k people in Gaza to reach their goal.
That anyone could claim this is "self defense" is astounding...
