Very impressed with how far Vimeo has come with its auto-captioning and transcript features.
Captions are generated when you upload a video (and it does a great job with it) and you can edit them as you like. You can also edit using the transcript with the ability to have it automatically remove umms, aahs, and silences (or do so manually, if you like).
And you not only get captions but you can also view the whole transcript in the player. Very convenient.
@aral we're actually just playing around with Vimeo for course we're building within Mossy Earth account and it seems to be exactly what we need.
@paulcox Yeah, have been hosting our videos there for ages. Fingers crossed they keep offering a valuable service and don’t go to shit like everything else.
