Wow, I just realised: these genocide deniers… they actually think I want to have a conversation with them. As if there’s a debate to be had about how much butchering of the Palestinian people is acceptable or how many dead kids is too many or whether or not killing kids is legal or how much apartheid is too much apartheid or something.
To these folks, I say, this is my block button, feel its click.
@aral I just reported and blocked one such person who was advocating for the ethnic cleansing of Palestine. They even tried to justify their stance by linking to an ultra-far-white website!
I will block, and (occasionally) report such people going forward.
@torspedia Thank you for your service :)
It depends upon what sort of conversation they expect to have. IFF they're open-minded and ready to be challenged and reconsider their conclusions, then it's a conversation worth having. You might even learn something useful about how they reached their conclusion in the first place. If they're closed-minded and nursing a self-delusion, your chance of being heard is next to nil, and the effort would be wasted.
I can't tell you how to predict which ones are which.
@VulcanTourist Yeah, I don’t have that sort of patience.
I can't reasonably blame you. It'd be a thankless task, like clearing minefields with nothing but a too-short stick and a good pair of cleated running shoes.
