EDIT since people keep replying about this: yes, they're most likely getting this from Bing. I've gotten some of the same AI summaries when putting the same queries into Bing
but DDG could probably take action to fix this by generating result descriptions themselves and not using Bing's.

and no, you can't turn it off in the AI features settings.

yep, duckduckgo is replacing sites' meta descriptions with an LLM generated summary!!!

I tried searching for truthtabl.es, a website I run, and was given a description I never wrote. the actual meta description is "Most powerful online logic truth table calculator..."

but instead DDG decided to replace it with some AI generated copy??? this is very Not Cool and making me reconsider using them
