The fascists aren’t winning because neoliberalism has failed but because it has succeeded.
@aral Well, in the war of buzzwords, meaning is the victim.
they are the same thing
@aral you're not gonna win any Kobayashi Meiru's with that attitude LETS GO!!!
@highvoltage @aral “Where’s all this water people are talking about?” — Mr bubbles, the goldfish.
@aral And also because we all ignore the money creation mechanics and who creates it. With this set of rules the outcome is unavoidable. We give for granted too many things, and money is one, yet is the pillar of our current society. What's even money to begin with?
#neoliberalism is #fascism
#Socialism is collectively beneficial for all on an individual and societal level.
@paradigma Money is… <drumroll> a social construct.
@dzwiedziu @aral Yes, to a certain degree. A medium of exchange. But what's really in essence is debt, debt to a central bank hence debt to a corporation profit driven. Abraham Lincoln understood this, created the Greenbacks to take the power to create money from Banks, he got killed.
Money is debt to a handful of humans, just because so. Nothing more, nothing less.
@dzwiedziu @aral Hi! Yeah, I do! Here are some others http://endthefed.org/books/
Cheers!
@aral spot on, this is what happened in the Nethetlands. Neolibirals are in power since 2010. People are desperate and vote for extreme right
@aral fuck me, this hit me hard for some reason
@christmastree @aral We tend to say that governments have no idea what they are doing, or that the capitalist state is inefficient.
Quite the contrary, the state is super efficient, and we can see it based on the chaotic and fascist (expected) results.
@aral The interesting thing is that many fascists do not realize they are instruments of an industry and they instead believe they are part of a political movement.
@aral I recently read a text somewhere from someone a bit surprised that the EU is slowly destroying internet privacy protection. Somehow some just can't connect the dots with neoliberalism.
@aral you mean turning literally every single aspect of life into a transaction has negative consequences?
@MnemosyneSinger @aral who wudda thut, hm?
@aral That and they’re stupid.
