Also: from January 1st to October 6th 2023, Israel murdered over 200 Palestinians. Before October 7th Israel kept over 800 Palestinians hostages (detained without charges, lawyers or contact with their family, some of them children). After October 7th that number reached 5000 people by the end of the year, and it's still over 2k today.
So Israel keeps 20x more hostages than Hamas today. At no point in the last 20 years they have kept less hostages than those kidnapped on oct 7th.
Hamas are scum, but every single evil thing they do towards Israeli citizens had been a common practice, just an order of magnitude worse, of the IDF against Palestinians FOR DECADES.

The number of palestinian hostages held by israel before october 7th was 1300, not 800. The number they got after oct 17th, at its peak, was 10k.

And "zero proposals" is literally a lie. Hamas leadership proposed freeing all the hostages in exchange of israel doing the same with their palestinian hostages. Israel refused.
As part of the negociations and limited deals both parties have been reaching since then, israel had freed 170 CHILDREN they hold as hostage. 170 children .
