I'd love a watch with G-Shock functionality (that is, being able to take a shower with it, at least two alarms, maybe atomic clock sync?) in a F91W case. With illuminator backlight, while I'm at it.
Because I have a square g-shock that I like but it's biggish (I have slim wrists) and I have a F91W Illuminator that I love but I need to set two alarms (and take the occasional shower, yes).
Do I need to travel back in time to make Casio develop one?
After wearing my Quartz citizen for a couple of months, I'm back to wearing my Orient. There's something about a mechanical watch... Being able to hear my tick when it's quiet, and just watch the balance wheel work through that open heart which is just magical.

I never really understood the concept of Rolex watches. I mean, have you ever seen a Rolex? They're hideous!
I suppose they cost lots of money because they're a status symbol, which they are because they cost lots of money? Still strange how they got there. Why would you want to spend a 5 digit number just to show off bad taste?

Since it is now pretty much official at this point, here are my 2 cents about the #Rolex Land Dweller:
- the name is terrible. It does not sound quite as right as Sea- or Sky Dweller
- design is a weird mix of Oysterquartz and Explorer. Not quite sure about the 6 and 9. Not groundbreaking but it looks alright especially the bracelet
- integrated-style #watches space is a bit over-crowded. I had zero interest in Royal Oak/Nautilus/Defy/PRX, so this one isn’t for me either

Just had the loveliest experience while getting my watch strap resized at Silver Phoenix in Bray. They’re a tiny, independent two-person jewellers – Jolita and Martin – and they took such care (Martin resized it three times and did a micro-adjustment and then undid it until we found the perfect fit).
In a world of faceless corporations you forget sometimes how lovely people can be.
So if you’re looking for jewellery, a watch, wallet or pen (or repairs/sizing/etc.), give them a shout and support a tiny local business that’s been going for five years now.
