Tip: if you’re using the new GNOME Console and Fish shell, you don’t have to wait until the GNOME folks have colour schemes implemented if you want to customise yours.
fisher install FabioAntunes/base16-fish-shell
Then, in your console, type base16<tab> to see the list of different colour schemes you can try.
Me, trying to figure out what the binary for GNOME Console is called:
1. console… nope
2. gnome-console…nope
*goes to source code repository*
Ah… of course, it’s kgx. Why didn’t I think of that earlier?
@aral wait. as in konsole-gnome-X?
@morpheo Hah, no, apparently it was called something else before where the acronym makes sense. Can only imagine they’ll be renaming it before it hits 1.0 :)
@aral Yeah, that makes a lot of sense... I mean, it's gnome, of course it's a k thing.
@aral ah, the King’s Cross (Terminal… GET IT? ) heritage is showing. I imagine the binary was named `kgx` to make it faster to type which is funny for the name of the terminal emulator itself.
