“Mozilla.ai: Investing in Trustworthy AI”¹
At the helm is none other than Moez Draief.
Y’all know Moez, right?
He was previously chief scientist at Huawei’s Noah’s Ark AI lab² and Global Chief Scientist and VP of Data Science and Engineering at Capgemini³.
Mozilla, stop it! You’re making it impossible for me to parody you. I’m going to have to find a new hobby…

Mozilla: Trust Us™
@Eldeberen I’ve iterated on the branding. I like the new tagline even better. What do you think? :P
@aral Something is very wrong in the state of Mozilla.
I am an avid Firefox user since the days of Netscape (due to several reasons, one being: Monoculture is bad), but this feels like they just want to alienate every single person who ever associated anything positive with Mozilla.
Will there be Mozilla NFTs soon? Mozilla Coin? Mozilla Cloud Services for Business? Mocker, the Mozilla flavor of Docker?

@aral I like the browser but there are some hilariously oblivious techbro clownasses associated with that org. One of the latest “we are gonna commercialise mastodon” goons has the fact that while at Firefox they came up with the plan that sold access to their users to Google as a great thing for everyone. Hopes are therefore v low
@aral These links are just to press releases? Is there a particular reason why I should think that Moez Draief is the wrong person to head up a division on AI? He seems like a guy who's got a lot of experience working at variuos large institutions.
@aral
Nextcloud also just announced they're baking in Dall-E and ChatGPT. The embrace of the "AI" plagiarism scam by open source is turning into a major buzzkill
@coldhotman @aral
That's good to hear, because all I want to know from these projects about their "AI" additions is how to turn them off and which domains to add to my blocklists!
@aral But he is now open and trustworthy, because that’s what Mozilla is. Although he now has an odd habit of moving his windows around at random.
