Was at a wedding in a castle in St. Bees. Likely the first and last time you’ll see me in tails.
Was it your wedding?
@Brynawel No, family on Laura’s side :)
@konstantin Aw, thanks, Konstantin. You’re very kind (it’s all makeup and rouge, I ensure you) :)
@aral looking fresh!
@DJDarren Thanks :)
@aral enjoy !!
But, that's an iPhone ?
@hyde Yep. Maybe one day the two Pinephones I have in the drawer will be fit for everyday use but, in the meanwhile, it’s the least-worst option. At least it’s not Android.
@aral the worst thing is i'm thinking about buying an old pixel 5 to install grapheneos on it
@hyde @aral
I have Pixel 5 with @GrapheneOS and love it.
Use Shelter to box in those apps which cannot work without (sandboxed) Play Services. Which also allows me to run two VPNs with different locations.
@hyde @aral Just switched (because last phone was dead) 2 weeks ago to #grapheneOS and I love it :)
Going to write about it in another 2 weeks to explain my first month with it.
@hyde @aral Please don't buy an older device than a Pixel 6:
https://grapheneos.org/faq#recommended-devices
Pixel 5 will be end-of-life in a year even if it gets support extended to match the Pixel 5a. Pixel 6 and later have a minimum of 5 years of support and are a better platform. 6th and 7th gen Pixels are the only devices we recommend buying.
@GrapheneOS @aral oh .. Thanks for that. I don't like the design of the 6 though but it may be better indeed ... And more expensive too
@hyde @GrapheneOS @aral picked up an excellent pixel 6 on eBay just to install @GrapheneOS and am loving it.
@hyde @aral Ideally, get a Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a or Pixel Fold. Pixel 7a is the smallest of those devices. Pixel Tablet is also supported.
Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6a are still fine, but the 7th generation devices (including the Tablet and Fold) have hardware upgrades and an extra year of support by virtue of being a year newer.
@aral
You're looking good, but it also feels very out-of-character. Add a top hat, a cigar and a monocle, and I'd say this was mirror-universe Aral
@claudius Haha, indeed. But hey, playing dress up is fun sometimes :)
@aral awesome bro! Now enjoy the wedding. Wish you a happy marriage
@aral Dressed to kill.
@aral honestly, you look really striking! Way to wear the hell out of that thing! Hope it was a fun wedding
@PeterBronez Aww, thanks Peter. You’re very kind. (And, yeah, it was unexpectedly fun.)
@aral Looks good

It damned well had better not be, you cut a fine figure
@bignose Haha, thank you.
@aral sir, you clean up well! Looking good!
@brianrandell Haha, thanks – I’ll let my makeup and hair department know ;)
