It’s not that we’re not doing anything about the climate crisis, we’re just waiting to see if we actually go extinct before acting. No need to rush into these things and accidentally end up improving human welfare for no good reason.

Just last year, Democrats in the U.S. were able to get the most aggressive climate action legislation passed in the history of the universe so proclamations that "nothing is being done" is just doomer crap being spread by people unaware of the issue and doing nothing to help address it.
