The GDP growth monster has the potential and the unthinking, uncaring will, to devour us and everything on this planet.
Time to change "the system".
@aral Yeah the irony of the pending human semi-extinction is that it is self curing for so many of our current problems. Far less people emit far less carbon dioxide. Far less people use so much less water and food. People are more peaceful and coexist better if not all crammed in like sardines. Growth based economy has always been one of greed not common sense.
