The best way is to take the job and try hard to ban those new "Privacy sandboxes" and such. Or am I being childish?
@Revertron @aral I don't think it's possible to change those orgs from the inside.
Others have tried with places like Google and Facebook. The organisational cultures are ingrained into the foundations.
Companies pay thousands of dollars to W3C to help formulate policy and web standards. Look at who pays in and formulates these standards.
Yes there are community working groups. But very often those web standards are created to serve those big orgs needs.
@onepict I understand that this is a Pay-To-Win game for corps.
But there must be people that understand what is privacy violation, and what isn't. No?
And if they seek some person that will do exactly this kind of job, then they really need someone to say these things, no?
Otherwise, why bother?
Or this is just for reports like "You see, we have a whole human that is fighting for your rights"? :)
