@LALegault @wjmaggos Just scrolled through your history and found that. Unbelievable (believable). I’m sick of saying it but one instance should not be that big or have that much power.

@LALegault I know this isn't the point and doesn't resolve the bigger question, but can you move instances? Your account isn't limited on masto.ai

How can we tell if we're being limited? Someone on mastodon.social got pissed at me for posting about genocide & reported me so I am wondering...

@chargrille @aral @LALegault

The HOA's at it again, I see.

I always thought that all this nonsense about "whiteness" and "correcting people on insensitivity to marginalized folk" really was a Trojan Horse to go after Leftist, anti-Zionist, marginalized, and sexually dissonant instances for running off the Fediverse through monopolized blacklists.

@chargrille @aral @LALegault

I'm thinking that if you are not a mod or poster at m/s and you don't have them already muted or blocked, you can try searching their instance for keywords contained in your toot.

But, yeah, the Alliance between BadSpace and M/S to recentralize blocklist censorship behind the cloak of "safety" is wearing mightily thin.

@chargrille I hope I'm not repeating something already said, cause I can see you have 3 replies to this, but only one of them (from Hugs4Friends) shows, but here goes:
Easiest would probably be to have someone at .social check your profile, so while I saw this thread via my minor account I switched to the main to check, and you're not limited by mastodon.social.
Checking @LALegault I see a notice the whole newsie-domain's blocked (but weirdly, it's not listed on mastodon.social/about).

@Mabande

You're not, and this is super helpful to me! Thank you so much for checking.

I have not kept up on any of this, and probably won't have the bandwidth, but I'll just say that with a domain as big as mastodon.social, I think you need to be extra careful about blocking domains, and definitely should be completely transparent every time you do block, keeping an up-to-date list.
