Regrettably, both of your likely leadership choices are as bad as each other from the perspective of most of those living outside the USA. We'd all like you to have a decent option too, FWIW.
But frankly, no one mentioned Trump until you chipped in, and it's entirely normal to criticise international leaders for their bullshit. (Please, do Macron, I won't mind.)
