So Certera is a Certificate Authority spamming folks to insert their links into organic content because they want to appear… *checks notes*… “trustworthy”
To help, I can tell you that you should most likely not be using their services and, by the way, have you checked out Let’s Encrypt? It’s free and automatically updates.
PS. #Kitten automatically handles #TLS certs for you and if you want to do the same in plain Node.js, check out my @small-tech/auto-encrypt module.
@aral they haven't read much of your blog, I would suspect.
@greenWhale Yes, can’t imagine they have ;)
@aral Yeah, sure, your content is a good resource for "brand mentions". Not sure if brands want to be mentioned that way.
@aral "globally reputed" is an interesting choice of words, given that they're trying to "establish" their brand.
@aral Smacks of the recent OSS attack where the attacker positioned themselves to get commit access to be able to perform the attack.
@aral +1 to Let'sEncrypt. That's pretty much why it's there.
@aral i didn’t think reading someone else’s mail could make me feel so frustrated
@unknown8bit Sorry. Sending a kitten to make up for it :)
