@aral Turns out Roti King has been there for a while
@anna @jeromechoo Ooh, thanks, good to know – here’s hoping it’s still there next time I visit. So hard to find proper Malaysian food in this part of the world :)
@jeromechoo @anna It’s been a while since I’ve lived there so that’s good news. Could murder a proper nasi lemak or mee goreng right about now :)
@jeromechoo @anna Noted. Something tells me this is one of those “to have in moderation” things ;)
@jeromechoo @anna Mmm, that did hit the spot.
Next time I might try making it fancier but wasn’t expecting ingredients for a proper paste in there. Heat wasn’t bad either.
Thanks again for the recommendation.
Now I just wish I could find a proper Malaysian restaurant in Ireland :)
@aral @anna glad you were able to track it down (locally it seems?) and nice work on a first time prep! A lot of people make the mistake of making it a little too watery the first time.
Some options to make it fun:
1. Add a runny yolk fried egg
2. Chili crisps for extra heat
3. Green onions for a little veg freshness
@jeromechoo @anna Haha, thanks. And I might just do all of the above together next time :)
