Ooh, look what just arrived.
(It’s the PinePhone UB Ports edition.)
Looking forward to sharing my experiences and thoughts once I’ve had more of a play with it.
@aral Great, looking forward to see your experiences with it as I have the "normal" edition and a big downside is the missing battery management. The battery drain is huge - unfortunately also in standby mode.
@blobyoumu Sure :)
@aral looking forward to see your experiences too! :-)
@aral but can you bei Sure it has no backdoors?
@aral I am waiting for that, Aral. I really like seeing Ubuntu Touch alive today in 2020.
@shebang Neat :) Do let me know how you get on with Majaro. I’m keeping it on my Pinebook Pro so I have a different distribution to test with but it doth geteth on my nerves a bit :)
@aral Can you please post a screenshot with neofetch?
@BartG95 Hey Bart, I couldn’t find neofetch in apt (probably no ARM build for it yet) but here’s a photo of screenfetch for you :)
(Not sure why it’s reporting the CPU incorrectly. Also, I haven’t looked up how to take a screenshot yet) :)
@agustinh88 Haven’t had much of a play yet as I’ve been working hard on Site.js. Will update when I do :)
@aral finally I found this post again, Aral. I'm glad I bookmarked it.
@aral Great! 👍 😎
@aral How are you finding the phone so far? Usable as a regular device? Is it encrypted?
@theprivacyfoundation Sorry, still haven’t had a chance to play with it properly. Been busy with Site.js and setting up a live streaming setup.
