Zack<p>I was really excited about the <a href="https://toot.cafe/tags/webshare" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WebShare</span></a>, <a href="https://toot.cafe/tags/websharetarget" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WebShareTarget</span></a>, and <a href="https://toot.cafe/tags/backgroundsync" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BackgroundSync</span></a> APIS when they were announced, but two years later they're still only supported in Chrome. MDN lists them all as 'non-standard and is not on a standards track'</p><p>Does anybody connected to the browser vendor space know the status of these? Are Mozilla and the Edge team against them for some reason? These APIs would be incredibly useful for <a href="https://toot.cafe/tags/pwas" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PWAs</span></a>, so I'd be interested in hearing any objections to them</p>
