Interesting… just got an email from #Twitter after my complaint to the Irish DPC that they are not complying with #GDPR data erasure demands:
“Thank you for contacting us. We write in response to your case with the DPC…
Your account was deleted on 4 December, 2022. All associated information is no longer available in our Production Tools.”
So I followed up with questions…
– “in our Production Tools” – does this mean my data exists elsewhere?
The saga continues…

Got an auto response back from Twitter saying they’ve closed my case.
I guess I should feel lucky it wasn’t a poo emoji.
So back to the Irish Data Protection Commission I go…

@aral I’m currently doing the same dance, but with German commissions.
Twitter responded to my reminder with the whole „just delete your account“, to which I replied in 4 minutes that it would be insufficient.
And to that I received an auto-reply that my case had been closed for „periods of inactivity“.
