My yearly call out into the ether to see if @fedora and @Hetzner_Online@social.cologne can make CoreOS a first-class citizen on Hetzner.
https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-tracker/issues/1324
As the #SmallWeb comes closer to being a thing with the launch of Domain this year, I’d really love for it to run on maintenance-free auto-updating instances instead of Ubuntu. But it looks like I’m forced to go with it as I can’t otherwise find affordable VPS hosting that can create an instance as quickly as Hetzner can.
@major @fedora @Hetzner_Online@social.cologne Thanks, appreciate the link; sadly not something I can base a production system that launches instances for others on. (Much less a free and open source one that I hope others will also be running to do the same thing in different parts of the world. Basically, I’m building a tool to enable people/organisations to easily become Small Web* hosts so we don’t end up being the only one/another centre, once it launches.)
