Twitter is a microphone connected to a mixer owned and controlled by Elon Musk.
If you understand how microphones and mixers work, you also understand why you can’t “stay and fight.”
I do not understand how mics and mixers work. I do understand how earnest young people think.
I do understand that by providing content for him, I would be enabling him.
Most of his base are there to "own the libs" and they think they're winning whenever they get any response, no matter how stupid they look because they don't care about truth.
And people staying there to "support" others? Just providing an audience. Disengage or just admit you're there for the conflict.
@Homebrewandhacking It’s simple: you plug a microphone into a mixer and the person who controls the mixer sets the volume of your microphone (or mutes it entirely).
@aral Oh! Yes.
I suppose that's the point of putting those "seen metrics" on posts. To let you know that you're not shouting into the void, it's just that no one cares what you think.
Thus solving the perennial problem of "Nobody sees my posts!" vs "Nobody cares about your posts." :)
