Charging UK users for EU roaming is most clearly a scam when you consider that Vodafone has mobile networks in almost every European country.

So you pay roaming charges for accessing Vodafone NL via Vodafone UK, but all those charges end up going to Vodafone Group anyway??? Vodafone charges you the privilege of accessing Vodafone which is then passed onto Vodafone.

EU roaming is basically a printing press for money for the three operators (Vodafone, EE, 3 UK) that do make you cough up extortionate amounts of money for EU roaming.

@Lykkerik @aral are you sure you don’t have a network add on or something? Because Norway is clearly in the Europe roaming section. It was up to the networks to strike deals with EU operators after Brexit, or the UK government to force operators to include EU roaming. It’s very clearly the networks who want to cash in. The EU would have no control over regulating networks outside of its territory.

@Lykkerik @aral crazy stuff. Well probably Vodafone struck a nice deal here, which they could’ve equally done with the other networks
