#ClimateDiary But here some positive news:
Seven Chinese solar companies are already providing more energy for the global economy than Exxon, Chevron, Shell, BP.
(I think most oil in the world is actually produced by state-owned companies; the big corporations produce a relatively small percentage, but still)
(From @davidfickling)
@pvonhellermannn Can't see the details past the paywall, but this MUST be out of context. Be honest.
@redrummy you are right - i lied. I came on here to lie.
No. As i made very clear in my post, I just shared someone else’s post. I can’t even get past the paywall myself. I know no more than the totality of what you see. I happen to believe it’s accurate, based on what I read about Chinese solar expansion (and oil industry not dominated by corporations, as I said). But maybe you are right: this is Bloomberg publishing Chinese propaganda.

@aral @pvonhellermannn Thank you for the clarification. Your friend is a little hostile**36
@redrummy @aral @pvonhellermannn You reply to this person’s post demanding they retract it and then tell a third party who was actually helpful “your friend is a little hostile” LOL
@MisuseCase @redrummy @pvonhellermannn Yeah, Ryan, I’m afraid you would’ve gotten a similar reply had you said that to me. I’ve been on the receiving end of such accusations and I can tell you they’re not fun. If folks like us wanted to fuck things up, we’d go do it quietly while earning high six figures for our efforts. We wouldn’t be wasting our time and effort to try and raise awareness and hopefully affect some progressive change in the world.
@aral @MisuseCase @pvonhellermannn I can admit when I'm wrong, and I was wrong. To clarify, I re-read my words and realize they didn't convey what I intended, but that's still on me.
