@JFreeWolny Well that’s eye-opening… so Followers/primary account/dormant: 914 pages x 40 = 36,560
Which would put my non-dormant followers count at ~7,640 (~44.2K - 36,560).
What’s most interesting for me with this is how few people you need to have a good experience and meaningful conversations, etc. I had more “engagement” (hate that word) on here almost from the get go.
Would love to see the dormant account stats for the other networks. Assuming they wouldn’t be as forthcoming.
@aral
“Other networks” will NEVER show numbers like this. It shows the biggest lie about SM as "marketing idea".
But in my opinion it is the same situation everywhere, can be even worse in placess like twitter the kingdom of bots :>
@aral
For my small account it is 34% (49 out of 145).
On my facebook account i cannot check it so easy, but i'm sure that at least 80% of my followers are abadoned accounts. And I'm sure it is true for every place like this.
And it is not about „buying followers” it's just normal thing, for „follower buyers” it is just worse :D
Luckily for them marketoids are not aware. :D
@aral @JFreeWolny Maybe "interactions" would sound less corporate than "engagements." Perhaps, we should start developing our own vocabulary here. We have different incentives.
