Llevo pensando unas semanas en comprarme un eReader, y no sé si me podría alguien ayudar. La cosa es que dados los últimos acontecimientos me gustaría evitar, por motivo obvios, comprarme un Kindle. Las otras opciones de marcas que conozco tipo Kobo tienen un precio por encima de lo que me gustaría y puedo pagar ahora mismo.

¿Conocéis alguna marca/modelo que sea compatible con la mayor cantidad de formatos posibles, y que en general sea cómodo en el uso y con software lo más libre posible (o fácil de liberar)? No pretendía gastarme más de 100 euros. ¿Quizá una opción sería comprarlo de segunda mano?¿Suele ser buena idea comprar este tipo de productos de segunda mano?

En general cualquier info me vendrá bien porque estoy un poco verde al respecto, la verdad :(

Dang, looks like I might need to get a new #ereader after all.

My Kindle is rebooting a *lot*, even when trying to search for a book.

I wish there was a DRM-free way to BUY well-known ebooks. relying on anna doesn't quite feel right, even borrowing a copy from anna and buying a (DRMed) copy at the same time.

Which #ereader would you suggest? I'd want something not bound to a specific platform, with he ability to load my own content. High screen quality is obviously compulsory.
Any suiggestion?

Logging in to say how happy and grateful I am to be able to make annotations on #EPUB on my e-reader running #KOReader, and to then be able to import and read those same EPUBs and annotations on my laptop in @zotero

This allows me to read long-form (I really struggle to do so on my laptop) and still take digital notes (not having to manually copy afterwards.)

Bah! I can't find any #OpenSource book reading software that works with the LCP encryption standard readium.org/lcp/profile-2.0

Any clues, friends?

I kind of want an #eink #ereader but I genuinely looks like none of them respect privacy. I could always use DNS tools to try and muzzle telemetry, but fundamentally would rather avoid ecosystems where I have to do that (at least any more than I do now). #ebooks #Privacy #tablet

Took another small step away from Amazon last week when I changed out my dying Kindle Paperwhite (which I've enjoyed for years) for a Kobo Libra Colour. Loving it so far.

I think since my tax refund will cover roughly 3/4 the price of a Kobo Clara Black and White (essentially the same as a Kindle) I'll use it to take the plunge.

I've been eye'ing the PineNote for years and just decided to check up on it. It looks ready for prime time now?? Does anyone have one and would like to share their experience? How does it feel like to write with?

I would LOVE an ebook reader and note taker but do not want to be tied into proprietary walled gardens (Remarkable 2 / Paper Pro being the biggest temptress). Don't tempt me to buy one just so I can review it for all y'all!
