A reason I am an Atomic Fanboi....
View it as how our Phones work for OS updates or Chromebooks, A/B 1/2 type boot image partitions.
If anything goes bad on an update, I can easily rollback to my last deployed image.
Updating is also less painful.
App data is mostly separate, because embracing flatpak/etc.

TLDR custom Fedora Images with extra steps+community efforts out of box.
I started with Fedora KDE 32 back....whenever that was. Then tried Kinoite Beta 38 whenever that was. But #UniversalBlue images ended up being just right.
I went salted earth on windows when my W10 key refused to work on a new motherboard in ~2019, also because Linux fits my personal philosophy as well.
After my brother died, it also gave me some semblance of feeling in control of *something* in this mortal-coil. At least my PC.
I enjoy being a community member and not just a "user" of a corpo product. Proton+Steam Deck did sorta change the gaming landscape, I've been shilling for so long.

If you really wanna dual boot.
I recommend having separate storage drives.
And use UEFI/BIOS to set Linux disk to boot priority #1.
Removes windows boot manager from the equation vs breaking on updates or fighting with grub.
Can also copy your font folder over if you really want.
